Instructions
Step 1 of 9
Cook macaroni until al dente, drain

Make roux: melt butter, whisk in flour, cook 2 minutes
Step 3 of 9
Gradually add milk, whisking constantly
Step 4 of 9
Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes

Remove from heat, stir in 3/4 of the cheese until melted

Season with salt and pepper

Mix sauce with cooked macaroni

Transfer to baking dish, top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs
